The video shot by John Garber shows one firefighter being rescued from a window using a ground ladder.
Two other firefighter were escorted out of the structure by a RIT team after all three becoming trapped in a third-floor unit.
All three firefighters were rescued, checked out by EMS and continued battling the fire.
Fire Chief Frank Zangari said 21 residents were displaced and no one was injured and credited smoke alarms for saving lives, according to The Republican Herald.
The fire began at 112 West Main Street by a teenager who placed Duraflame logs into a wood burner and left the residence.
It took firefighters until midnight until the fire was deemed under control
Zangari said the size of the homes posed challenges as each are close to 70 feet long and six to seven rooms deep.
"They were mazes for firefighters to go in and search," he said. "In one home, the kitchen starts in the front, in another, the living room starts in front."
