DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. --
A DeKalb County spokesman told CBS Atlanta that the investigation into firefighters accused of being drunk on the job is now completed.
In a press conference on Tuesday officials said three fire fighters were in possession of alcoholic beverages at the station during the height of last month's winter storm.
Charges were sustained for Captain Marcus Reed. His own admission proves level of intoxication and open container.
Chief Tinsley and Deputy Chief William Smith were exonerated.
The firefighters are accused of using IV's to flush the alcohol out of their systems before being sent to DeKalb Medical Center for blood tests.
FAO Corbett- Possession of intoxicating beverage sustained. He admitted to Open Container inside station.
FF Joshua Crawford- Possession of intoxicating beverage sustained. He admitted to Open Container inside station.
Captain Stevey Duke charged with neglect of duty Sustained for failing to notify chain of command.
Captain Allan Garcia charged with neglect of duty sustained for failing to notify chain of command.
All will be demoted effective 19th.
One Captain was given a written counseling for his involvement.
Other Captain who failed to notify given 24 hour suspension.
