A battalion chief with the Salisbury Fire Department has been placed on administrative leave.
Officials with the city have not said why Chris Lyerly was placed on leave or if it is connected to an investigation into departmental misconduct.
Capt. Baxter Buddy Miller, a firefighter who was fired last week, has requested a review. The Salisbury Post reported Millers firing stemmed from allegations of sexual harassment of a female firefighter.
