A Holbrook firefighter was hit by a snowplow this morning, according to WBZ-TV.

Crews responded to a home on South Street where a tree reportedly fell through a house.

A snowplow drove around a fire truck, slid into the road and struck a fire lieutenant, Chief Edward O'Brien told the news station.

"Fortunately, the lieutenant was able to kind of jump a little bit and absorb some of the hit," he said. "I can't stress enough about the dangers when you’re on the road, and people driving, and just being aware of emergency responders out in the street."

The firefighter suffered injuries to his arm and hip and was transported to Brockton Hospital.
