Two Pennsylvania Firefighters Hurt Battling Blaze

DUQUESNE, Pa. -- Firefighters said flames spread to an adjacent building after a house caught fire in Duquesne Friday night. The fire broke out at a home on North Fourth Street Friday evening. Fire crews said the fire began on the front porch of the home. The fire quickly spread to a building adjacent to the home.

Firefighters said flames spread to an adjacent building after a house caught fire in Duquesne Friday night.

The fire broke out at a home on North Fourth Street Friday evening. Fire crews said the fire began on the front porch of the home.

The fire quickly spread to a building adjacent to the home.

One resident was taken to the hospital to be checked out for minor injuries. Two firefighters were checked out by EMS at the scene for minor injuries, but were not transported, fire crews said. One firefighter was treated for burns, the other for problems breathing.

The Red Cross was assisting six people, including one child, with food, clothing and shelter.
