Four People Killed in Maryland House Fire

EARLSVILLE, Md. -- Two adults and two children trapped inside a Cecil County house early Saturday were found dead after a two-alarm fire, state fire authorities said. Fire crews arrived at the scene shortly before 2 a.m. Friday and found the victims trapped inside the house at the Indian Acres Campgrounds at 645 Knights Island Road. Officials said the victims appear to be related.

EARLSVILLE, Md. --

Two adults and two children trapped inside a Cecil County house early Saturday were found dead after a two-alarm fire, state fire authorities said.

Fire crews arrived at the scene shortly before 2 a.m. Friday and found the victims trapped inside the house at the Indian Acres Campgrounds at 645 Knights Island Road. Officials said the victims appear to be related.

A third adult escaped the fire with minor burns to his hands. He was treated at Union Memorial Hospital in Elkton, according to officials. The names of the victims were not immediately released.

Officials said 40 firefighters brought the blaze under control within a hour but not before the fire consumed the entire home and two outer buildings.

Maryland State Police continue to investigate a cause.
