Blaze Damages Three Buildings in Maryland

BALTIMORE -- Crews on Sunday battled a 3-alarm blaze that damaged three buildings in Canton, according to fire officials. The fire broke out at about 6:20 a.m. in the 800 block of South Montford Avenue and was brought under control at about 7 a.m. Officials said a hair and tanning salon and a bistro and martini lounge sustained damage.

One occupant escaped with a burn to his stomach and was taken to Bayview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
