Four Hopedale firefighters were injured while battling a three-alarm blaze late Monday night, according to The Worcester Telegram & Gazette.

When crews arrived, they saw heavy fire at the front of the two-story house at 17 Park Street.

The fire spread quickly in the wooden structure and created pockets of flames, Deputy Fire Chief Thomas M. Daige told the newspaper.

Three firefighters were treated at Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford for heat exhaustion and another was treated for a cut hand.

All four firefighters were released after being treated.

Authorities have not released information on the cause of the fire, although they believe it started on the front porch.
