Four St. Louis Firefighters Injured in Floor Collapse

Two firefighters fell through a burning floor on top of two of their colleagues.
Four St. Louis firefighters were injured last night after two of them fell through a burning floor on top of two others, according to KSDK-TV.

Crews responded to the vacant single-family home in the 4200 block of John Avenue in the Fairgrounds neighborhood at approximately 10:30 p.m. and found the structure fully involved.

Two firefighters were advancing a line to the upper level when they fell through the floor and landed on their colleagues.

All four firefighters were transported to St. Louis University Hospital and were treated and released.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
