GRIFFIN, Ga. --

Spalding County hired a law firm to investigate the cell phone video the county said one of its firefighters took of 23-year-old Dayna Kempson-Schact who was killed in a fatal crash.

Commissioners discussed results of that investigation in a closed meeting Monday night, but they would not release the findings.

CBS Atlanta reporter Tony McNary asked Chairman Eddie Goss the tough question.

"Why did you all decide to wait before releasing a statement and the findings of the investigation?" asked McNary.

"Well, right now we have a lot to go over and study. There's a lot in the report," said Goss.

Kempson-Schact's parents are angry because they said the Spalding County firefighter who shot the video with his personal cell phone sent it to several people in a Griffin restaurant.

The video that showed Kempson-Schact's body in the crash made its way back to her parents.

"They invaded her privacy. That was a private scene not for anyone or us to have to see that," said Lucretia Kempson.

Chairman Goss said the report is about 20 pages and one commissioner was absent Monday night.

He said that's why they are waiting to release the results.

The firefighter accused of recording the video has still not been identified.

His attorney was at the meeting waiting for the results. McNary had some tough questions for him.

"Have you seen the video?" McNary asked.

"No sir," said Michael Kendall.

"Has he (the firefighter) shown it to you? McNary asked.

"He doesn't have it," said Kendall.

"What did he do with it?" asked McNary.

"We don't know what the video shows," said Kendall.

"But just to be clear, your client says he did shoot some video, but it may not be this particular video?" McNary asked.

"Possibly," said Kendall.

Chairman Goss said the results will be released later this week.

In the meantime, the firefighter is still suspended.
