JACKSONVILLE, Fla.
--
A Jacksonville firefighter had his gear stolen from Station 4 while leaving it out to dry, according to police.
Mark Osteen told police he regularly left his gear out to dry, and when he went to retrieve it Thursday, his pants, jacket, hood, gloves and flashlight were gone, police said.
Officers said Osteen first thought other firefighters were playing a joke on him, but when several days passed and the gear wasn't returned, he called police.
