A firefighter was shocked by live wires while battling a house fire in Uniontown.
Crews said the fire happened at a home on Butler Street late Sunday night.
The Uniontown fire chief said a firefighter was going into the basement of the house when wires fell on him, hitting him on the shoulder and arm.
The chief said the injured firefighter was taken to Uniontown Hospital and was reported to be conscious and alert.
The fire chief said the fire appeared to have started in the kitchen of the home and is considered arson. According to the chief, homes on both sides of the latest blaze burned down over the summer.
