Ga. Rescue Truck, Police Cruiser Crash

A Lee County police cruiser and fire rescue truck collided on Friday afternoon while both were en route to the scene of an overturned tractor trailer that spilled chicken manure, according to WALB-TV.A Lee County deputy and firefighter were both headed west on Highway 32 when they wrecked.The firefighter was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and is expected to be OK.

A Lee County deputy and firefighter were both headed west on Highway 32 when they wrecked.

The firefighter was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and is expected to be OK.

The tractor trailer overturned at approximately 2 p.m. on Highway 32 before spilling the manure into a peanut field.

The cause of the crash is unknown and the driver was uninjured, according to the report.
