Man Killed After Rear-Ending L.A. County Engine

A driver was killed early yesterday morning after he rear-ended a park Los Angeles County fire engine.
A driver was killed early yesterday morning after he rear-ended a park Los Angeles County fire engine, according to The L.A. Times.

Delaron Hines, 49, was behind the wheel of a 2011 Toyota that slammed into the engine that was stopped in the third eastbound lane on the 105 Freeway while responding to a vehicle fire.

The man was transported to St. Francis Medical Center and was pronounced dead at approximately 3:39 a.m.

No firefighters were injured and the California Highway Patrol reported that alcohol was a factor in the incident.
