Woman, Infant Rescued From Pa. Fire
CANONSBURG, Pa. --
Firefighters in Washington County rescued a woman and a baby trapped in a fire on Saturday night.
Investigators said a man cooking on a stove caused a fire at 215 E. College St. in Canonsburg.
Officials said firefighters rescued the woman and her 7-month-old girl when heavy smoke stopped them from safely evacuating down stairs on their own.
The mother and her daughter were taken to a hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.
