A man was rescued after he fell into a northeast Houston manhole Tuesday afternoon, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Firefighters were called to the 4200 block of North Main at Northwood shortly before 1:30 p.m.

A man was rescued after he fell into a northeast Houston manhole Tuesday afternoon, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Firefighters were called to the 4200 block of North Main at Northwood shortly before 1:30 p.m.
Officials said a crew was working on the manhole when a man walked through the safety cones and fell down the hole, about 10 feet.
Witnesses said the man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
He was pulled out a short time later and taken by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials said he was conscious and alert at the scene.
