N.J. Fire Chief Collapses at Scene

The fire chief of the Neshanic Volunteer Fire Department collapsed yesterday evening while on the scene of a house fire, according to The Courier News. Chief William Iden had to be revived at the scene and was transported to the intensive care unit of Morristown Memorial Hospital. He arrived at the house on 874 Amwell Road at approximately 9:23 p.m. to respond to a report of an electrical fire in the basement of the home. The fire was described as minor and was contained to the basement.
