A five-alarm fire tore through a Orange apartment complex yesterday morning and left close to 100 residents homeless, according to The Star-Ledger.

The blaze at the four-building 96-unit complex at 399 Lincoln Avenue was reported at approximately 8 a.m.

It began in the corner of the top floor of one of the building before spreading to the three adjoining five-story structures.

Hundreds of firefighters from departments across Essex County battled the blaze throughout the day and into the evening, according to the report. There were no major injuries reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
