Firefighters jumped from one scene to the next when fires erupted in dumpsters and trash cans along a Marysville street in an arson spree early Monday, reported KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.
A Marysville Fire Department spokesman said five fires were set in four dumpsters along Columbia Avenue starting at about 4 a.m.
The fires took place within a three-block area and all in less than 30 minutes.

KIRO 7 reporter Rick Price was at the scene behind Strawberry Lanes bowling alley where two of the fires were set. Price said the contents of a dumpster were heavily charred, the plastic cover of the trash bin was melted and the fire was still smoldering when he arrived.
Two of the fires were set outside Totem Middle School leaving minimal smoke and soot damage.
The fifth fire was set in a dumpster behind a body shop. Employees said they’re lucky the arsonist didn’t hit Friday when the dumpster was full of garbage.
"We were fortunate not to have something go on in there, otherwise it would have been a real hot fire," said auto shop employee Leon Eslinger.
None of the fires damaged any nearby buildings and no one was hurt.
Fire officials said it wouldn't take much for one of the fires to get out of control.
Police said they have no suspects and may start arson patrols as part of their investigation.
Anyone who was in the area of the 700 to 1100 block of Columbia Ave. at approximately 4:04 a.m. Monday morning or anyone with information that may help in identifying who may have intentionally set the fires to contact Detective Sgt. Deryck McLeod at 360-363-8300.
