Roof Collapses on Tenn. Firefighters

Three Nashville firefighters were burned after a portion of the roof fell on them.
Three Nashville firefighters were burned after a portion of the roof fell on them while battling a blaze yesterday afternoon and a fourth suffered heat exhaustion.

The burned firefighters were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and while the other firefighter was treated at the scene, according to department spokeswoman Kim Lawson.

All three hospitalized firefighters have since been released.

Crews responded to the burning duplex on Hill Court at approximately 1:30 p.m. and found the roof covered in flames.

A mother and a child were inside the when the fire began and were not injured.

The duplex was declared a total loss.
