DUQUESNE, Pa. -- A Duquesne firefighter was on the other side of the battle when a home he owned caught fire Friday morning. Emergency dispatchers said it started at a vacant home in the 100 block of South Seventh Avenue in Duquesne at about 2 a.m., and then spread to the firefighter’s property. Both homes were fully engulfed in flames with fire crews got there. Witnesses on scene told Channel 4 Action News that the firefighter didn’t live in the home, but was renting it out to four people.

A Duquesne firefighter was on the other side of the battle when a home he owned caught fire Friday morning.
Emergency dispatchers said it started at a vacant home in the 100 block of South Seventh Avenue in Duquesne at about 2 a.m., and then spread to the firefighter’s property.
Both homes were fully engulfed in flames with fire crews got there.
Witnesses on scene told Channel 4 Action News that the firefighter didn’t live in the home, but was renting it out to four people.
Everyone escaped the burning home without injury.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
