Pa. FF Hurt, Man Rescued in Blaze

PITTSBURGH --  A man who was unable to walk was rescued from a burning home in the Marshall-Shadeland section of Pittsburgh's North Side Tuesday night. Reports said a firefighter was injured battling the flames in the 1200 block of Courtright Street that broke out at about 11:30 p.m. The firefighter suffered a minor neck injury and was hospitalized briefly before he was released.

A man who was unable to walk was rescued from a burning home in the Marshall-Shadeland section of Pittsburgh's North Side Tuesday night.

Reports said a firefighter was injured battling the flames in the 1200 block of Courtright Street that broke out at about 11:30 p.m.

The firefighter suffered a minor neck injury and was hospitalized briefly before he was released.

Emergency dispatchers told Channel 4 Action News that there was a man who was unable to walk trapped inside the building.

Firefighters were able to reach the man. He was rushed to UPMC Mercy in critical condition.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
