A car slammed into a Lithonia post office Friday afternoon.
Workers at the post office on Wellborn Road said the incident happened at about 12:30 p.m.
Police said it appears the driver hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. The driver was briefly trapped, but was pulled out by firefighters. The driver was not identified.
The post office did not suffer major damage and did not close, workers said. No one in the post office was hurt.
