Ind. FF Admits to Setting Three Blazes

A Concord & Spencerville volunteer firefighter turned himself in yesterday and was charged with three counts of arson, according to The Journal Gazette. Firefighter Lee J. Yoder admitted to setting his uncle's mobile home on fire on Dec. 26, started a fire at his neighbor's house on Jan. 23 and ignited blazes in a garage and shed at a relative's house on Feb. 1.

Firefighter Lee J. Yoder admitted to setting his uncle's mobile home on fire on Dec. 26, started a fire at his neighbor's house on Jan. 23 and ignited blazes in a garage and shed at a relative's house on Feb. 1.

Police are investigating other fires in the area from the past 18 months to determine whether he set those as well, DeKalb County Sheriff’s Detective Lee Stoy told the newspaper.

Stoy said Yoder would not say why he set the fires while he was being interviewed. He was released on $30,000 bond.
