Md. FFs Hurt in Ambulance Crash
Two Maryland responders and two civilians were injured Tuesday morning in a crash involving an ambulance and another vehicle.
The ambulance from Prince George’s County Fire/EMS was en route to a medical call when the incident occurred in the Fort Washington area, according to Mark Brady, agency spokesman.
Two civilians sustained injuries; an adult male was transported by paramedics to an area hospital while the other refused ambulance transport, Brady said.
The two crew members from Ambulance 847 were transported to a hospital for treatment of their injuries. All injuries are categorized as minor and non-life threatening.Â
The ambulance sustained significant damage, approximately $20,000, and will be placed out of service until repairs are made.
Brady said the crash is under investigation.
