A Newark firefighter was injured this morning after falling into a trench in a basement while responding to a non-emergency call for a broken water pipe, according to The Star-Ledger.
Capt. Andy Truskowski went inside a flooded basement of a vacant house at South 10th Street at approximately 12:30 p.m. which had more than a foot of water in it.
