Two Rescued From Ohio House Fire

GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Authorities are investigating a frightening house fire early Thursday morning. When Garfield police arrived at a home on South Parkway, they found a house in flames, a woman on the lawn and two elderly people trapped inside. Rescue crews got both people trapped out of the house. They were quickly taken to area hospitals to be treated for smoke inhalation and possible burns. Firefighters expect all three individuals in the home to be OK.

Authorities are investigating a frightening house fire early Thursday morning.

When Garfield police arrived at a home on South Parkway, they found a house in flames, a woman on the lawn and two elderly people trapped inside.

Rescue crews got both people trapped out of the house. They were quickly taken to area hospitals to be treated for smoke inhalation and possible burns.

Firefighters expect all three individuals in the home to be OK.

Firefighters were able to put out the flames, but not before a neighboring home also suffered damage, but that home was vacant.

Four fire departments responded to the fire.
