Maryland Fire Truck Hit by SUV
POINT OF ROCKS, MD -- Two Frederick County firefighters were hurt on New Year's Eve when their fire truck was hit by a SUV.
The 2009 Pierce -- in service for about 24 hours -- was en route to another crash when the SUV crossed the center line, and struck it, according to NBC25 in Hagerstown.
The firefighters assisted the two injured civilians in the SUV until other hep arrived, reports indicated.
The rescue engine had been placed in service on Wednesday by the Carroll Manor Vol. Fire Company, and was stationed in Point of Rocks.
The firefighters and two civilians were taken to the hospital for treatment.
