ONSET, Mass. --

Fire crews have been battling a five-alarm fire in Onset since about 2 a.m. Monday, trying to quell the blaze that erupted in a former Ocean Spray warehouse.

The fire marshal was en route to the four-story building on the Cranberry Highway. Crews had to shut off electricity to the area and a portion of the Cranberry Highway was closed to traffic after the flames shot as high as 60 feet into the air.

It was unclear what started the blaze. No one was reported injured. The fire was contained by 6 a.m., but firefighters were still dousing hot spots.

The fire chief said the building was a former cold storage warehouse but had more recently housed other businesses.
