SAN ANTONIO --

A volunteer firefighter has been charged in connection with calling in false fire alarms.

According to an arrest affidavit, Quinton Arnold, 25, made four phony phone calls to 911 over the past two weeks.

All of the calls came into the Jarret Volunteer Fire Department, where Arnold worked as a volunteer firefighter, the affidavit stated.

The Bexar County Fire Marshal's Office traced the bogus calls to a disconnected cell phone that was registered to a woman who used to live with Arnold, the affidavit stated.

Arnold has a history of placing false alarm calls, including a bomb threat to a middle school, the affidavit stated. He also spent time in jail in 2006.

Arnold was arrested Tuesday and was charged with four counts of false alarm.
