PLAINFIELD, Ind.
--
Two children and a man were hospitalized after a fire early Wednesday morning at a mobile home park.
The fire broke out at about 1:30 a.m. at the Maple Grove park, in the 2400 block of East Main Street.
Investigators said Bryan Hillman went back inside the burning home to rescue the two children, a 3-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy, with the help of a Plainfield police officer.
Hillman and the children were hospitalized with burns and smoke inhalation. Hillman was last listed in serious condition at Wishard Memorial Hospital. The conditions of the children were not released.
Amanda K. VanHorn, who was also in the home when the fire began, was not injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
