Maine Firefighter Charged With Arson

LOCKE MILLS, MAINE -- A volunteer firefighter with the Greenwood Fire Department has been charged with two counts of arson in connection with a fire that destroyed two vacant houses early yesterday morning (Nov. 17), according to WCSH-TV.Firefighter Jeffrey A. Tyler allegedly set fire to one of the buildings in Locke Mills, which then spread to a neighboring house. Crews arrived at the scene at approximately 3 a.m. and found the two houses and a barn burning.

Firefighter Jeffrey A. Tyler allegedly set fire to one of the buildings in Locke Mills, which then spread to a neighboring house. Crews arrived at the scene at approximately 3 a.m. and found the two houses and a barn burning.

Fire officials quickly realized the blaze was set intentionally as no was living there, and no one was supposed to be in the vicinity of the buildings.

Tyler was being held at the Oxford County Jail.
