MILWAUKEE --
A fatal fire in Milwaukee has claimed the life of a girl about seven-year-old.
A Milwaukee Fire Department spokeswoman said there were no working smoke detectors in the home.
Firefighters arrived at a home on North 33rd Street around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Firefighters said the fire started in the kitchen.
A female adult, a boy and a girl were found unresponsive in the house.
The girl was pronounced dead on scene.
The adult was taken to Columbia St. Mary's Hospital and the boy was taken to Children's Hospital.
Both are in critical condition.
The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating the fire.
