CLEVELAND --
Two firefighters were injured Thursday in a Cleveland house blaze.
The fire broke out at about 1:35 p.m. on Puritas Avenue.
The firefighters suffered second-degree burns, the assistant fire chief said. They were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center.
The assistant chief said they were burned because of a backdraft.
Neighbors said they heard an explosion-like sound when before the fire broke out.
He said firefighters only found out about a possible explosion after going into building or they would not have gone in so soon.
A lot of damage was done to the back of the building.
No other information was immediately available.
