DISTAUEL, Wash. -- A brush truck and a car collided on Sept. 16, destroying both vehicles, according to The Omak-Okanogan Chronicle.

Firefighter Ryan F. Anderson was responding to a blaze when state police said Fawn J. Abrahamson lost control of her vehicle and hit the truck around 10:30 p.m.

The Washington State Patrol told the newspaper that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

Abrahamson and a passenger in the brush truck were injured in the crash and transported by LifeLine Ambulance to Mid-Valley Hospital.

Both firefighters occupying the brush truck were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
