MANCHESTER, N.H. --
Three fires in Manchester kept city crews busy from Friday night to Saturday morning.
Investigators say all three were intentionally set.
The first call came in from Budd Foods on Somerville Street just after 11:30 Friday night.
About an hour later two fires sparked up almost simultaneously, a car set aflame on Thorp Street and an apartment building went up on Concord Street.
Unoccupied for the last year, neighbors say the apartments at 323 and 325 Concord Street have attracted vagrants and vandals.
The red "X" at the doorway let firefighters know the building was not structurally sound.
After an initial search they pulled back and fought the fire from outside.
Fire officials say witnesses told them they saw three to four people fleeing the building, shortly before they saw flames.
Investigators say there's no clear connection between any of the fires other than that arson-related incidents become more common in the summertime.
