SAN ANTONIO --

A teenager has been arrested and charged in connection with starting a fire that injured six firefighters earlier this month.

The juvenile, whose identity has not been released, allegedly started a fire inside a vacant water treatment facility on Heuermann Road along Interstate 10. The building contained cylinders of chlorine gas inside that later exploded because of the fire. The ensuing leak injured the six firefighters, investigators said.

The juvenile has been charged with arson causing bodily injury and faces a sentence of five to 99 years in prison if convicted.
