FRANKLIN, N.H. --
A Franklin home was destroyed after it was hit by fire twice in one week.
The Ford family lost its Summit Road house to a fast-moving fire Wednesday night, two days after one of its bedrooms was burned.

Wendy Ford, who lives in the house with her husband and two children, said she can't believe that she has been the victim of two fires since Monday. She was the one who noticed them both.
"It's devastating," she said. "Twice in one week. I don't know what to think."

Monday's fire ripped through Ford's son's room, but the Wednesday fire damaged the house so severely that it was condemned. Ford said the earlier fire started under her son's bed, but the cause of the fire hasn't been determined.
The family had to move out because of the damage Monday, but it could have been fixed. Two days later, Ford was in the area and heard smoke alarms again.
"I saw through the living room window there was a small fire," she said.
Ford called 911, but firefighters said the fire spread quickly.
"In this fire, half the first floor and all of the second were involved in fire," said Capt. Gary Hicks.
The fire marshal's office has just begun its investigation but said it doesn't believe the first fire started up again and ignited the second one.
