McKEES ROCKS, Pa. --

A firefighter was injured while battling a blaze in McKees Rocks on Tuesday.

The fire broke out shortly before noon at an abandoned home in the 400 block of Island Avenue.

Officials said a firefighter fell through the second floor to the first floor of the house. He was taken away in an ambulance.

The firefighter's injuries are not believed to be serious, officials said.
