Kids Playing With Lighter Start Florida Brush Fire

PALM BAY, Fla. --

Police in Palm Bay arrested a 12-year-old boy for starting a brush fire that burned out of control behind his apartment complex.

Fire investigators say three children were playing with a lighter behind the Malabar Lakes apartment complex Wednesday afternoon.

Some grass caught on fire and quickly spread to five acres before firefighters were able to get it under control.

The two other boys were not arrested but will have to go through a juvenile fire-setter program.
