A neighbor told News 8 that Dr. Rex Herbert and his wife, Lisa, were inside their home when the fire started.

"She told me when it started she was calling the fire department when she had a hose trying to put it out," said neighbor Richard Needham. "But all of a sudden it got out of control."

The Colonial Park fire chief has not released a cause, but said exploding combustibles in the garage and a propane tank behind the home may have contributed to the blaze.

No one was hurt.

Damage is estimated at close to $2 million.
