DONORA, Pa. --
Police in Washington County suspect an 11-year-old boy set two arsons last week.
Authorities said the grade-schooler set fires to the Donora Laundromat on McKean Avenue last Friday and to a home on Thompson Avenue earlier last week that destroyed two neighboring homes, which crews have since torn down.
A woman who lived in one of the homes escaped safely, and residents of a second house were not at home, but their dog was inside and was rescued.
Five fire companies from the Donora area were called to the fire, which reached five alarms at one point. Firefighters said a witness reported seeing two children running near the home that caught fire just before the flames broke out.
Officers have not released the child's name because of his age.
