CINCINNATI --
The Cincinnati Fire Department is having a sit-down with its bosses after a series of high-profile embarrassing incidents.
"We will not allow, nor tolerate the unacceptable behavior of the very few to tarnish the reputation of the rest of us," City Manager Milton Dohoney said in an earlier video message to city workers nearly two weeks ago.
He will spend the next few days delivering it to the city??s bravest in person.
Mandatory meetings with Dohoney will be held at the urging of Fire Chief Robert Wright.
Firefighters will be reminded of the expectations for their behavior, after some serious image issues have popped up lately.
There's been a standoff with a firefighter, another accused of stealing from the city and a series of racy YouTube videos.
The city could bring back psychological tests for new recruits, and may require firefighters retake their oath every year to remind them of their responsibility.
City leaders said they want to encourage those firefighters who follow the rules and give them tools to silence the rest.
The city's human resources director is sitting in on these meetings, too, reminding firefighters that there are ways they can blow the whistle on bad behavior when they see it.
