NORTH BRADDOCK, Penn. --

Three firefighters were hurt fighting a house fire in the 1500 block of Ridge Avenue that began just after 10 p.m. Sunday.

The firefighters, two from North Braddock and one from Braddock, were hurt when the kitchen floor collapsed and fell into the basement, authorities said.

They were treated at local hospitals for back and face injuries. Their names and conditions have not been released.

The Allegheny County fire marshal said the fire appears to be suspicious, because the building was vacant and there were no utilities in the structure.
