Cereal Causes N.M. Building Evacuation

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Around 9 a.m. Friday Albuquerque firefighters and police responded to reports of a suspicious powder at Molina Healthcare. Workers in the four-story building were evacuated as crews used state-of-the-art equipment to determine that the substance was Cream of Wheat with three different types of sugar. Fire officials said the cereal was found in a legal-sized envelope sent by mail to the building in northeast Albuquerque. The envelope will be investigated by postal inspectors.

Around 9 a.m. Friday Albuquerque firefighters and police responded to reports of a suspicious powder at Molina Healthcare.

Workers in the four-story building were evacuated as crews used state-of-the-art equipment to determine that the substance was Cream of Wheat with three different types of sugar.

Fire officials said the cereal was found in a legal-sized envelope sent by mail to the building in northeast Albuquerque.

The envelope will be investigated by postal inspectors.
