Conn. Firefighters Could Face Hazing Charges
WATERFORD, Conn. --
Police in Waterford are investigating seven volunteer firefighters after allegations that an alleged hazing incident took place.
Waterford police are looking into whether or not any possible criminal activity may have occurred two weeks ago involving seven junior and senior volunteer firefighters of the Quaker Hill Fire House.
The volunteer firefighters have been suspended by the executive committee following a complaint of a hazing type incident with another member.
The alleged incident took place near the end of September and a volunteer firefighter may have been tied up, according to the complaint.
Police said that an officer has been assigned to the case to interview those people who are involved.
Fire Chief Matt Carson said that the incident was just horsing around.
