Two Va. Firefighters Injured in Engine Crash

A fire engine and a pickup collided on August 27 around 8:40 a.m. on Aug. 27, injuring two Chesterfield firefighters.

A fire engine and a pickup collided in the 5800 block of Ironbridge Road around 8:40 a.m. yesterday morning (Aug. 27), injuring two firefighters.

An occupant from the pickup truck was also transported to the hospital.

Captain Keith Chambers of Chesterfield Fire and EMS said the injuries were non-life threatening and that the accident is under investigation.

Responding to the call were Medic 11, Engine 15, Medic 15, Medic 3, Battalion 1, Battalion 3, Division Commander Chief Mark Berry, TSO, Safety One, TSU, County Police, Risk Management and the Fire Marshal.
