HOUSTON --
A body was found on fire outside a southeast Houston home on Tuesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Houston firefighters responded to a report of a house fire on Madden Road near Mykawa Road at about 7 p.m.
The house wasn't on fire, but a person was.
Houston police homicide investigators said the body was so badly burned that they could not tell if it was a male or a female.
Detectives are working to determine if the person died before or after the body was set on fire.
Anyone with information is asked to call the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
