GREENVILLE, S.C. --
Firefighters said they pulled a Greenville woman from her burning home on Tuesday night.
The fire happened at a home on Monroe Street just after 10:30 p.m.
Firefighters said that when they arrived they found the woman passed out inside the home and pulled her out. They said two neighbors tried to rescue the woman before crews arrived.
The woman was taken to a local hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.
The blaze gutted one room of the home. Firefighters said they were able to extinguish the fire before it spread to the rest of the house.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
