OMAHA, Neb. --

An Omaha home has been declared a total loss after catching fire Monday morning for the second time in three days.

The second fire, which broke out around 6:15 a.m., gutted the house near 22nd and Sprague streets. Flames caused a major portion of the house's roof to collapse, leaving only the chimney poking through the crater. Firefighters said no one was home.

Records show the house was being remodeled when it caught fire early Saturday morning.

The home is considered a total loss. The cause is still under investigation.
